Dodge Vipers are probably the most iconic out of all the American supercars. Known for being rugged, muscular, beautiful, and—above all—fast, this muscle car has long enjoyed the attention of mainstream media as well as the carefully-curated gaze of car nuts everywhere.

But how should you go about figuring out how much any given Dodge Viper for sale is worth? Are there peculiarities particular to the Viper which you need to keep in mind?

Here at American Supercars, we know that the information available in the automobile scene can be a little overwhelming. No matter where you go, everybody has a different opinion, and they all seem to have various facts and studies to back up their conclusions.

That’s why we’ve decided to come up with a definitive list of things you need to keep in mind when you’re trying to work out the Dodge Viper price. Every item on this list is worthy of [...]

We believe American supercars are superior to their competition.

It’s why we chose this name for our company, and it represents what we stand for.

In this post, we want to invite you into our world. Let us show you why and how American supercars are so great.

Don’t get us wrong – there are plenty of amazing European supercars. And they can be a lot of fun to drive and own. However, as we’ll show you in this piece, they often cost a lot more, and are more of a hassle to own than their American counterparts.

In addition, American supercars’ racing accomplishments give them a sense of American pride that you can connect with through owning one of these cars.

The Price to Performance Ratio

Let’s just get this out of the way:

One of the strongest reasons for owning an American supercar compared to a European one is the [...]

In this post, we’re going to walk you through the incredible experience of driving a brand new 2017 Ford GT.

Be warned – these cars are hard to come by. (The initial 750 are already spoken for, although Ford is releasing 250 more for sale in 2018).

So if this post gets you excited about the prospect of owning a GT, you might set your sights on a difficult mission. But as you’ll soon see – that mission is completely worth it.

As Car and Driver says, “the GT looks like a carbon-fiber crystallization of the Kama Sutra.”

Designing everything around optimal airflow, the car has a front end inspired by Formula 1 and Le Mans racers. All the exterior body panels are made of carbon fiber, with aluminum serving as the material of choice for much of the framework.

There’s an [...]

The 2017 Ford GT is an incredible car. It’s sleek, modern, fast as hell, and by all accounts an absolute blast to drive.

Although it might be hard to actually get a new GT, it’s not impossible. While there are only so many released, if you have the cash, it’s only a matter of time (and determination) before you get your hands on one.

However, today we’re not going to be focusing (exclusively) on the GT. Since we know that most people who are in the market for a GT also enjoy other supercars, we decided that it would be fun (and helpful) to compare the new GT to its closest rivals.

And as far as an “apples to apples” comparison goes the best foreign supercar to compare the new GT to was the Lamborghini Aventador.

We tried to be (relatively) objective and unbiased in this post. Since this is American Supercars after all, we [...]

After 25 years, production of the Dodge Viper stopped on August 31st, 2017.

Referred to by car journalists as the last great American car, the Viper has inspired feelings of adrenaline, envy, admiration, and pure driving enjoyment for its dedicated fan base over the last 25 years.

The Viper is known for its insane levels of torque, acceleration, top speed, and overall power. It represents an unfiltered, rock you to your core approach to the sports car.

To honor the Viper, we put together our first article here on American Supercars.

You’ll learn…

  • The roots of the Viper
  • The different incarnations throughout the years
  • How the Viper stacks up against the foreign competition
  • The financial and experiential reasons to buy a Viper

But before we get into all that, let’s answer one question that may be on your mind: why did Dodge decide to stop making the Viper in the first [...]
